Chateau de Courtomer Paris Destination Wedding

S&R’s 2-day destination wedding last summer in Chateau de Courtomer, a stunning chateau in Normandy, France, was the perfect combination of “chic & modern” and “black tie in a chateau”. With guests coming from the Netherlands and the U.S., they celebrated with a welcome dinner and ceremony at the orangerie and the wedding reception in front of the elegant chateau ground.

How I adore their fashion! She wore a blush tulled Galia Lahav wedding gown with a playful pair of Dior wedding shoes. He wore a cream color suits while the groomsmen wore all black.

His reaction when he saw her down the aisle was so precious. I got teary eyes a few times during the ceremony as they shared their love stories during difficult times.

After the ceremony, S&R headed back to enjoy the cocktails and reception in front of Chateau de Courtomer with the warmest welcome of their guests. I got to capture some of my favorite reception shots - not just the fun interactions, but also the atmosphere from afar.

Dinner was held around long tables in the grand hall of the chateau lit by candlelight. Lots of stories were shared between glasses and fine cuisines, and they finished off the long dinner with cake cutting surrounded by sparklers.

I especially appreciate the couple for giving me the freedom to work with more non-traditional and black & white shots. I was so excited to hear the bride expressing her love for artsy and purposely blurry images. A mix of documentary approach and fine-art style is my jam, and I’m so grateful whenever creativity is allowed in the process.
